A youth engagement meeting aimed at addressing key community development challenges was held recently in Bobo, Pil Gani, Langtang North Local Government Area. The meeting brought together young people from across the area to discuss ways to foster unity, dialogue and sustainable progress.

The forum provided an avenue for participants to openly share concerns, exchange ideas and propose practical solutions to issues affecting the community.

Some of the challenges discussed were described as minor. However, attendees noted that their long-term impact could be significant if left unresolved.

Speaking at the event, the convener, Danladi Kamko Auta, stressed the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of the community.

He described young people as key drivers of development and called for greater collaboration, mutual respect and a shared vision in addressing common problems. He also encouraged youth to embrace hard work and self-reliance.

He urged them to engage in productive ventures that can improve their livelihoods and contribute to the local economy. In addition, he challenged them to take an active interest in politics.

He emphasised that meaningful change and effective representation can only be achieved when young people participate in leadership and decision-making processes.Participants at the meeting highlighted the need for sustained engagement, peaceful coexistence and inclusiveness in community affairs.

They emphasised that unity among youth, regardless of differences, was essential for building a progressive and harmonious society. The meeting concluded with a collective resolution by attendees to remain committed to the growth and stability of the community.
