Adamawa SUBEB takes over private school to boost access to education

The Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) has taken a major step to improve access to basic education with the takeover of a privately established school in Yola South Local Government Area.

The school was acquired by the Seven Point Agenda Development Plan Association of Wauru Jabbe Saman Dam.It received funding support from the Ministry for Local Government Affairs before its ownership was transferred to ADSUBEB.

The formal transfer of ownership of the facility to the state government is expected to improve access to basic education in the community.Permanent Member I in ADSUBEB, Hon. Adiel Kurdah, formally presented the handover documents to the Education Secretary of Yola South, Malam Adamu Bawuro.

The presentation was made for further administrative action.Speaking during the handover, the Executive Chairman of ADSUBEB, Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi, commended the leadership of the community for its commitment to improving education.

He assured that additional classrooms and infrastructure would be provided to enhance effective teaching and learning.He urged residents to enrol their children in the school.

He noted that education remains key to development and peace.Babayi expressed appreciation to Governor Fintiri for his continued support towards advancing basic education in the state.
