The Pilgani community of Langtang North LGA celebrated the coronation of two chiefs of Gani Chiefdom in a ceremony attended by dignitaries from across Nigeria.
At the Palace of the Ponzhi Gani, Chief Telzing Nden was installed as Garkuwan Gani, while Chief Nandir Lar became Gimbiyan Gani.Traditional rites reflected the rich heritage of the Gani people and reinforced the relevance of customary institutions.
The celebrations continued with a reception at the residence of Dr. Shakes Nanshal, featuring cultural displays, goodwill messages and tributes to the honourees’ contributions to the community.

Prince Ponfa Wuyep, Chairman of the Theatre Arts Graduate Class of 1995 (University of Jos Alumni Association), highlighted the pride of the Tarok community and the coronation’s role in fostering unity and cultural identity.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements of Chief Nden and Chief Lar while reaffirming the community’s commitment to preserving traditions amid modernity.
