The 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) was conducted Friday across 966 accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
At least over 22 million candidates participated in the examination amid minor hitches and tight security.
The examination was organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
In Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), our correspondent reports that many centres recorded only minor delays.
At Skills Path International School, Karu, Lavogue British International School CBT Centre, also in Karu, and Aimax Computer Institute, there was smooth conduct of the examination amid tight security.
However, in some centres within the Federal Capital Territory, some candidates experienced brief delays linked to malfunctioning systems and late uploading of questions.
Briefing journalists at the Karu centres, JAMB General Monitor and Group Representative, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli, attributed the disruption at the Karu centres to faulty systems, stressing that affected candidates would be rescheduled to ensure fairness.
She warned that centres must comply strictly with operational standards, including the provision of backup systems or face sanctions.
