Nigeria’s representatives, Maktown Flyers, have recorded a historic and confidence-boosting victory in their opening game of the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL), defeating JCA Kings 76–68 in Rabat, Morocco.
The match, held as part of the Sahara Conference, saw the Nigerian side deliver a composed and spirited performance to secure their first win on Africa’s biggest club basketball stage.
