Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a delegation of the Central Zone chapter of the Plateau Women Alliance Support Group for Tinubu and Mutfwang 2027 has visited former lawmaker, Bala Fwangje, to formally introduce the group’s objectives and seek his support.
The delegation, led by the Convener and Coordinator, Agnes Fwangchi, visited Fwangje at his office Monday to present the group’s vision and request that he serves as one of its patrons.
Speaking during the visit, Fwangchi said the group was established to mobilise women across the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State in support of the re-election bids of President Tinubu and Governor Mutfwang.
She added that the group would also work towards mobilising support for All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants in the state.
Fwangchi described Fwangje as “a respected political leader whose experience, integrity and commitment to the development of Plateau State would provide valuable guidance to the group.”
Responding, Fwangje expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the women for their commitment to political participation and grassroots mobilisation.
He accepted the group’s request to serve as one of its patrons and pledged to provide advice, guidance and support towards strengthening its activities.
Fwangje urged members of the group to remain united, peaceful and focused in their mobilisation efforts, stressing the importance of working within the party structure.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the group’s activities as it prepares for the 2027 elections.
The visit ended with the delegation expressing appreciation for Fwangje’s reception and acceptance of the patron role, while members pledged to work closely with him as they continue their mobilisation across Plateau State.
