Plateau Rocks suffered a 12-point defeat in the 2026 Zenith Bank Women’s Premier Basketball League Savannah Conference, losing 54–66 to Air Warriors in Jos on Wednesday.
The Rocks made a strong start, moving the ball well and creating scoring opportunities through organised offensive play.
Air Warriors gradually gained control as the game progressed, capitalising on lapses in the Rocks’ defence to pull away.
Plateau Rocks struggled to maintain their defensive intensity and were unable to match Air Warriors’ response in the later stages of the game.
The defeat adds to the Rocks’ difficult start to the competition and leaves the team needing greater consistency, particularly in defence.
Plateau Rocks will face Nasarawa Amazons in their next fixture as they seek to recover from the latest setback.
