Wisdom FC Bukuru have secured a place in the final of the 2026 Jos Metro League after defeating Sheyric Queens 1-0 in the women’s semi-final at Bukuru Township Stadium.
The keenly contested encounter saw both sides battle for a place in the final, with neither team willing to concede, before Wisdom FC eventually broke the deadlock through Simi Tong.
Tong converted her opportunity to put Wisdom FC ahead, with the goal proving decisive as her side maintained the lead until the final whistle.
Sheyric Queens pressed for an equaliser but were unable to breach the Wisdom FC defence, which held firm to secure the narrow victory.
The result means Wisdom FC Bukuru will face Mees Palace in the women’s final on August 29, 2026.
The Jos Metro League is organised by the Jos South Coaches Council as part of efforts to identify, develop and promote football talent at grassroots level.
The competition provides young players with opportunities to gain competitive experience while attracting the attention of coaches and talent scouts.
It features various age categories, including Under-10, Under-13 and Under-15, as part of its broader grassroots football development programme.
The final between Wisdom FC Bukuru and Mees Palace is expected to bring the competition to a close as both teams seek to emerge champions of the 2026 Jos Metro League.
