Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates, Sultex and Goddessa, have been evicted from the reality television show, leaving 17 contestants in the race for the ₦160 million grand prize.
The duo were evicted during Sunday night’s live eviction show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, as the “Show Ya Sef” edition enters its sixth week.
Their eviction brings the number of housemates who have left the competition to seven, including those who were evicted and one who voluntarily exited the show.
Those previously out of the competition are Martins, Mercedes, Kamsy and Cassi, while Neche voluntarily left the house.
Sultex’s eviction came after a tense week in the house, including a heated confrontation involving him, Bells and Yusuf on Saturday.
According to Africa Magic, what began as a squabble between Bells and Sultex escalated after Yusuf intervened, resulting in a heated face-off between the housemates.
The eviction also followed an unusual nomination process introduced during the week.
After Chimsom Chuka emerged as Head of House, housemates were asked to nominate contestants they wanted to save from possible eviction rather than directly nominating those they wanted out.
Chimsom subsequently used his veto power to save Sheba.
Abi was also protected after being named the Most Influential Player of the previous week, while Flora and Aikou were safe as the season’s Gambits.
The twist left 14 housemates vulnerable to possible eviction, with Sultex and Goddessa eventually receiving the news that their journeys had come to an end.
The 11th season of BBNaija premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for a record ₦160 million prize package.
With Sultex and Goddessa now out, 17 housemates remain in the competition as the battle for the grand prize intensifies.
