Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State on Thursday joined supporters of President Bola Tinubu at a re-election rally in Yola ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The rally, organised by the political pressure group Tinubu Must Go Again 2027 (TMGA 2027) at Lamido Cinema, drew supporters from across the six North-East states.
The group’s National Coordinator, Sheriff Almuhajir, said the rally was intended to demonstrate support for Tinubu and counter claims that the president lacked backing in Northern Nigeria.
He said the campaign would engage young people, women, professionals and community leaders ahead of the election.
The Adamawa APC Secretary, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, cited Tinubu’s political relationship with the state and federal infrastructure interventions as reasons for mobilising support for his second term.
“We are committed to mobilising our people in support of his second-term ambition. We will vote for APC from top to bottom,” Ribadu said.
The Deputy Chairman of the Adamawa APC, Raymond Chidama, who represented the state chairman, thanked the campaign organisers for choosing Adamawa to begin their mobilisation drive.
